At Noa Botanicals, we strive to provide positive experiences for our patients by offering unrivaled customer service, such as education about our wide variety of cannabis strains, allowing them to make informed decisions when purchasing our products. This article discusses the Chem D strain, its origin, flavor, and experience, as well as where you can purchase it.
Lineage & Origin
Chem D is a hybrid strain that has a mysterious origin story. It’s been said that Chem D is a select phenotype from the famed Chemdawg strain that was discovered by the renowned grower, Chemdog in 2001. Other claimed stories is that Chem D is a cross from Thai and Nepalese landraces or a seed exchanged among fellow growers at a Grateful Dead concert. While its lineage is a bit ambiguous some believe it’s a cross of OG Kush x Sour Diesel with many variations and phenotypes in the market. Whatever the story is, Chem D has made a legendary name for itself by being a staple, powerful, and potent strain.
Aroma & Flavor
Chem D is famous for its strong diesel and fuel aroma, which many say is the source of the “chem” in its name. This pungent strain also gives off notes of earthy musk, pine, and citrus. The smoke is surprisingly smooth despite the chemical jet fuel aromas and tastes slightly sour and spicy on the exhale.
Experience
The effects of Chem D are known to hit quickly. There’s a sharpening of the senses and clearing of the mind that takes over within the first few tokes. Its ability to amplify the senses makes it particularly good for creative projects and social conversations. These heightened feelings are met with a deep but manageable body high that helps to soothe muscle and joint pain. Users may find relief from depression, PTSD, stress, chronic pain, and help with appetite stimulation.
Please note that everyone may experience different effects due to a variety of factors.
Dominant Terpenes
Limonene, caryophyllene, myrcene, humulene, and pinene.
